New fun project
New fun project
I love this rustic table with lots of character… I hope to keep as much of the “old” look as I can.
Plan of attack:
1- Washing the Grunge off…. It’s old and o so very dirty!
2- Cutting this fun table into two so that I can make two Sofa tables out of one awesome item!
3- Sanding the top of the table re setting it with finishing nails, staining it a nice Dark Walnut with a super high gloss top.
4- Last… to put a nice lacquer over the old chunky stain on the legs and side of this fan-tab table!
It looks GREAT in my head… let’s hope it looks as good when I actually get it all done!

Drum roll please …. The breakfast bars reveal
And finally you get to see the finished product... it has been in for sometime now but I have not taken the time to take pictures. Pardon my procrastination. I put about 4 layers of epoxy and I think when I do my bathroom I am going to do a layer of epoxy and sand to give it a little more depth..... Cant wait for the next project.. And I will have plenty of time from now until the end of April all thanks to EMT class for the husband! Love you babe and all you do for our community!

…Its just life, and it will get crazy….but we love it anyway, because it’s ours!
December…. It brings around a special kind of crazy for most of us! This December 2nd 2012 marked the big #17 for Trav and I… we spent an amazing weekend in Salt Lake, we stayed at Little America and were able to walk to City Creek center and then over to Temple Square….it was breath taking! We also had the most Fantastic dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steak house and all weekend we would be asked… what brings you here? And we would reply it’s our anniversary following the question would be congratulation… how many years???? Our reply 17…. Then almost everyone over and over again like Groundhog Day they would say no way you can’t be that old! Yes it’s true Trav and I have been married for 17 year and together for just a little over 18…. I love him more than I could ever express and I could never see myself without him!!! He is my everything!
Our little gator is doing very well in school getting amazing grades and working so very hard to keep her goal of straight A’s this year (with a little exception of an A- in Math and that is okay because she works so hard for that grade). Her first tumbling competition was this weekend in Huntington. She received a 1st on the floor 1st on the double mini and 4th on her trampoline. She did so well and we are so proud of her! Good good job lil gator
Some may no and some may not… We have been trying a little more for almost 2 years now to have another baby, with no luck (not surprised)… I was not going to try clomid but changed my mind and on my second round we did get pregnant but it was an Ectopic Pregnancy, this happened in September. With a big push from my sister-in-law Ronda and my sister Carrie I made a call that may have saved my life and forced me to make up my mind to finally go to an Ob-gyn who helped me threw the Ectopic Pregnancy (that is a gigantic story of its own!)….later Dr. Heath checked my lvls and things don’t really look good. My FSH lvl is up and this means not to many cycles in the baby making years left for me… I am now getting ready to start my second and last round of clomid for my second time and hope it will work… If not we will go on with our little family and make it the best we can, we will make wonderful memories spending precious time together…. Trav, Gator and I <3 its just life, and it will get crazy….but we love it anyway, because it’s ours!

Breakfast bar…
Thanks to my Fantastic Husband and his concrete teaching I am no longer a Concrete apprentice. If I need some concrete done I no longer need to wait for someone else to do it… I just do it myself!
I wanted a not so $$$ taking counter top for my breakfast bar… so concrete it is…cheap and easy! So far this project took a total of $12.00 out of my pocket! Not to shabby if you ask me…
The Pouring process from start to finish was a total of 2 ½ hours that included: setting up, mixing/pouring the cement, and finishing work… The long part was sanding for texture and the Curing of the cement (curing takes about 4 or more days)… next step will be the epoxy finish and installation. Wish me luck!

A Sunday drive....
The Wah Wah Mountain Range is just Beautiful!!!!
Growing up in a Semi Truck I was privileged to see most of the United States in the comfort of air conditioning and an air ride seat, But it’s amazing how little of my home state I have not set eyes on…. The Wah wah Mountain Range are o so Beautiful, trees, wild horses and Squirrels galore. We have enjoyed our Teryx so very much and I think it has made us want to travel all over our beautiful State of Utah. A lot has happened in our little family this last couple months… fun… sadness... but most of all togetherness!

Yes I did wash my hands, and yes it is still stuck like CRAZY and did not want to wash off!!!!! But it is now gone...after two days of what I called
“Black Speckle Ites”
The “Dirt Room” or AKA the Gators “New Room” is almost done!!!! O yah buddy!!! Last coat of Magnet primer paint (this stuff splatters like no other kind of paint, and is not easy to get off your skin) is on and waiting for a coat or two of chalk board paint. The carpet is in and the sheer curtains are also up and waiting for the Black Blackout curtains to join them. We are on our way to the day our Gator gets to move into her “New Room”!!!
